The Mauthe - or Moddey Dhoo

The Mauthe is a spectral hound most closely associate with Peel Castle on the west coast of the Isle of Man. Also known the Moddey Dhoo (or Mhuddy Doo) as with many of his ghostly canine brethren, he is said to be outsized - around the size of a calf - and possessed of unearthly glowing eyes the size of dinner plates. He is also a portent of death.
