Bogus Social Worker gains access to toddler in Beverley

Hull police issued warnings about a bogus social worker after a woman reported being visited by one for a second time in November 2013, after an initial "visit" in the last week of October.

D.I. Cockerill, leading the investigation told reporters:

"Following our appeal last week, several further lines of enquiry are being followed up and our investigation is continuing. We would like to reassure the public there have been no further similar reports, although we would still urge a sensible level of vigilance when dealing with unexpected callers."

The BSW was described as a white woman, about 5ft 7in tall, aged about 30 with long, straight brown hair, and may have been accompanied by a black male in the driving seat of a white car - possibly an older model BMW.
