Weird Murders

Posted in >

To the sane and rational mind - of which most of us lay claim to - all murders are inherently bizarre. The notion of taking someone else's life is so antithetical to us that we recoil in horror at the very thought, baffled by the very idea.

And yet, hundreds of people meet their ends at the hands of their friends, neighbours, spouses or total strangers every year. Often, such cases seem to suggest that a one-off killing would have been a precursor to serial killing, but others occur in banal domestic settings - a tripwire is tugged, an emotion roused and before the participants have fully comprehended the situation, one of them is dead at the hands of the other.
